The Sound Monitor:
Continuous Insight into
Asset Health
Sound Monitor transforms continuous acoustic measurements into actionable insight on the health of your critical infrastructure. Detect, track and investigate developing anomalies—from partial discharge and gas leaks to mechanical faults—before they become failures.
Experience the
Sound Monitor Dashboard
Powerful, Yet Easy to Use
Monitor Your Entire Fleet
Review the health of monitored locations across your facilities in one clear dashboard. Filter by site, location and time period to identify assets with changing acoustic behaviour and focus attention where it is needed most.
Investigate the Acoustic Evidence
Open individual measurements for detailed analysis. Explore acoustic trends, configurable frequency bands, spectrograms and filtered audio to understand the signal behind an indication.
Document and Act
Download automatically generated reports that begin with a clear high-level health assessment and easy-to-understand alert reasons, then progressively reveal detailed views, supporting charts, and the technical evidence behind each finding to support your maintenance decisions.
Fleet-Wide Location Health
The Fleet-Wide Location Health view brings all monitored assets into one structured overview. Select the relevant time period, site, and location group to review measurement coverage and the current health status of every monitored location across your facility or fleet.
Clear health indicators make it easy to prioritise attention. Locations with changing acoustic behaviour, missing data, or threshold exceedances can be identified immediately, so maintenance teams can focus their investigation on the assets that require action most urgently.
Activity Trend Monitoring
The Activity Trend Monitoring view makes it possible to track acoustic activity of a location across configurable frequency bands over time. Select the data that is relevant to your application and identify patterns that are persistent, emerging, or changing.
This trend-based view helps users focus on changes that warrant further investigation, rather than assessing every individual recording in isolation.
Partial Discharge Cluster Analysis
The Partial Discharge Cluster Analysis evaluates the phase-resolved PD pattern of every measurement and combines PD activity level, cluster structure, and trend behaviour in one clear view across one or multiple locations. Each recording can be assessed for phase-related event accumulations and the confidence of the detected result.
This makes persistent or changing partial-discharge behaviour visible across many recordings. Z-score trends show how far recent activity deviates from the historical baseline, while configurable thresholds can highlight conditions that require attention before they develop into a critical failure.
Detailed Signal Investigation
The Detailed Signal Investigation view lets users drill down from a trend point to the original recording. Analyse sound pressure levels in configurable frequency bands, select the relevant time interval, and review how acoustic activity develops within each measurement.
Detailed views provide the acoustic evidence behind an indication, including spectrograms, averaged frequency spectra, filtered audio playback, and phase-resolved PD diagrams. This enables maintenance and technical teams to investigate the underlying signal in context and make well-founded assessment decisions.
Automated Alerts and Health Reports
Automated Alerts and Health Reports transform monitoring data into a traceable maintenance workflow. Configurable location-health thresholds can notify users by email or SMS when acoustic behaviour changes, a critical value is exceeded, or expected measurement data is missing.
Download automatically generated reports for individual locations or selected groups of locations. Each report begins with a clear health assessment and easy-to-understand status explanations, then progressively reveals supporting trend data, charts, detection results, and the technical evidence behind each finding.
